If the nights are longer, do you see more stars? This January, Banff and Sunshine Village will find out when they bring in Hollywood's A-list for two action-packed days of skiing and fun during the Fairmont Banff Springs Sports Invitational, a benefit to protect North America's waterways. The festivities will be capped off by a grand finale featuring a star-studded gala dinner and a Lyle Lovett concert – the only event open to the public. It's a veritable charitable trifecta: good skiing, beautiful people, and a great cause.
The Fairmont Banff Springs Sports Invitational will be held January 14-17, 2010 to benefit the Waterkeeper Alliance, a decade-old organization that aspires to protect every major watershed in the world. Last year's event brought in more than $1 million. 403-760-1720.
