If you can’t be at the medals ceremony to watch a Canadian take the podium after winning the country’s first gold on home turf, the next best thing is to be within earshot of a bar full of Canucks. Everyone was feeling the love this Valentine’s Day as Alexandre Bilodeau won the Men’s Moguls, and the party started early with the Ski Portillo event at the SNOW House. Coaches and competitors from the Canadian alpine team — along with their counterparts from Austria and the U.S. — were present to pay homage to Chile, one of the great training grounds of the Southern Hemisphere. Chilean wine provided by Lapostolle (www.casalapostolle.com) fueled the festivities, and Austrian sensation Benni Raich stopped by to check out the scene.
