SNOW House: Right to Play!

photo: Barb Sanders

Right to Play is an organization that uses the power of sport to tackle the effects of war, poverty, and disease on children in 23 different countries, employing an international team of Athlete Ambassadors who travel the world sharing this ideal. SNOW House was fortunate to host many of these ambassadors during an inspiring presentation to guests and media in Whistler during the Olympic Games. Devon Harris of the famed Jamaican bobsled team, Canadian gold medalist Beckie Scott and American gold medalist Summer Sanders spoke passionately about their involvement to an audience that included current athletes, including alpine skier Marco Büchel, of Lichtenstein; Swiss ski jumper Andreas Küttel; the much-decorated Norwegian skier, Kjetil André Aamodt; and a host of others. The U.S. ambassador to Canada, David Jacobson, and his wife, Julie, were among the guests who enjoyed Patron tequila, POM cocktails, and an array of sushi appetizers. Donations were given for the athletic, logoed wear created by Roots Athletic. check out more of Right to Play! here.
